In the heart of the West Pine Apartments community, one dedicated leader is making a quiet but powerful impact. Ms. Andrea, the treasurer of the West Pine Tenant Association Board (TAB), is transforming the way residents engage with each other, with their resources, and with the broader world around them. Her work, fueled by heart and guided by action, is a shining example of community leadership in motion.
As treasurer, Ms. Andrea is responsible for managing the TAB’s finances with integrity, overseeing budgets, and ensuring funds are used wisely to support resident engagement. While some might shy away from financial roles, Ms. Andrea embraces it with enthusiasm.
“I don’t like math,” she admits with a smile, “but I love numbers, and I really wanted to help our residents.” Her commitment shows in everything she does.
One of her proudest contributions is the development of a special birthday program designed to honor and celebrate residents. “It’s a special reminder that we remember them,” she shares.
“Everyone deserves to feel seen and appreciated.” This program has become a cherished part of the community, offering joy and recognition to residents throughout the year.
In addition to her financial responsibilities, Ms. Andrea leads digital literacy efforts in the community, guiding residents through the use of computer programs, internet navigation, and online service applications. Whether it’s completing an application or finding valuable resources, Ms. Andrea provides the tools—and the encouragement—residents need to succeed.
“My motto is: Hands on, BooBoo!” she laughs. “People learn best when they do things themselves, but I am always here to support.”
Ms. Andrea is a firm believer in collaboration and sees great value in working with neighboring TABs and the Resident Initiatives team.
“We’re doing a good job to elevate our residents, community-wide,” she says. “I’m proud of the work we do.”
Her blend of compassion, practical skill, and a down-to-earth approach is creating real change. Whether she’s balancing the books, leading a birthday celebration, or showing a neighbor how to click ‘submit,’ Ms. Andrea is proving every day that leadership is about service, and that even the smallest acts of care can make a big difference.
Ms. Andrea doesn’t just talk about community—she builds it, lifts it, and loves it. And for that, West Pine residents are deeply grateful.
